Tinsel, Treats & Trolleys 2024
Tinsel, Treats & Trolleys is the ABA's signature holiday event featuring the Ada Bridge Lighting! Join us to kick-off the holiday season and create special memories with family and friends.
Event map and program will be available closer to the event.
5:30pm - Bridge Lighting
· Arrive early to enjoy hot chocolate from Foxtail Coffee Co. and meet Buddy the Elf
· Short ceremony on the east side of the bridge with carolers from the Grand Rapids Opera – please walk through the bridge to the parking lot side to allow room for all attending
· Candy cane glo-sticks for the first one hundred children
· Be one of the first people to view FOX17’s new Weather Warrior
6:00pm - Trolleys Start & Santa arrives at Santa's Village
· Jump on a trolley to travel around Ada Village and enjoy the festivities at each stop.
· Guest Trolley Conductors include: Jane Allen and Elliot Grandia from FOX17, Shelley Irwin from The Shelley Irwin Show, Sam Jacques from WZZM 13, Sara Flynn from WOOD-TV and Laura Hardy & ‘Big Joe’ Pesh from Mix 95.7FM.
Trolley Stops – activities start at 6pm unless noted:

· Walk to the Historic Ada Bridge
· Ada Vision – Holiday craft, light refreshments and a prize drawing
· Jam 'N Bean – Hot chocolate and roasted cinnamon glazed almond samples
· Plumfield Books – Jazz duo providing live music, craft for the kids and a hot beverage
· Schnitz Ada Grill – Hot spiked cider, event drink and dessert special features
Ada History Center
· Visit live reindeer 5:30-8pm
· Storytime with Mrs. Claus
· Color vintage holiday cards
· Tour the history museum
· Wreath sale hosted by the Ada Historical Society
Amy Van Andel Library
· Meet sled dogs from Tun-Dra Kennels, 6-8pm
· Holiday craft
· Book sale hosted by Friends of the Library
· 7pm Nutcracker performance by Verity Ballet – Community Room 1
Gravel Bottom Craft Brewery
· DJ Dance Party hosted by Sonder CPA

· Stroll the Festival of Trees
· Lego Trolley Build at Michigan Software Labs (100 kits – while supplies last)

· Pursuit Gift Shop - Letters to Santa - letter writing supplies and envelopes will be provided! Free gift with purchase and goodie bags for kids while supplies last.
Santa’s Village
· 5:45pm dance performance by David Matthew Studios’ candy cane and sugar plum fairies to welcome Santa. Second performance at 6:30pm
· 6pm Santa arrives
· Photos with Santa
· Elf Clubhouse
· Holiday movie on tent ceiling provided by TruMedia
· 14 businesses hosting activities and providing treats
Santa’s Scavenger Hunt. Find one of Santa’s 50 lost packages (small red box with ribbon) hidden in Ada Village. Turn the box in at Croft Haus to receive a $10 gift card to a local Ada business. One per person.

The Corner Twist Food Truck will be parked between the Amy Van Andel Library and Santa’s Village.
Festival of Trees:
The Festival of Trees will take place in Legacy Park near River Street in Ada from December 1st - December 31st. 45 sustainable trees will be on display - decorated by local businesses. Stroll the pathway and view the trees as part of the Holiday Lights Walk in Ada!
Additional event parking available at Ada Vista School and Ada Christian Reformed Church on Bradfield St. Once parked follow the Tinsel, Treats & Trolleys signs to the pedestrian tunnel. We will also have a Trolley Stop in the parking lot with shuttle transportation from the parking lot to Historic Ada.
